News Text Message Alerts will consist only of these types of advisories:
-- Critical and breaking news events
-- Major
traffic or mass transit issues
-- Urgent weather announcements
-- Important public safety messages
The text alert
message will be sent when an event reaches a certain threshold determined by
the KYW Newsradio newsroom.
(Please check with your carrier about charges to receive these alerts. We
will try to keep them to a minimum.)
